Flemington Décor delivered and installed some smashing new window treatments throughout this beautiful mid-century modern home. All the styles, colors and designs were based on the clients desire to maintain the feeling of a home built in the 1950’s.
Interestingly, it is actually the home our client’s husband grew up in. The yellow gingham curtains were the exact style and color his Mom had up there originally. The bathrooms have all the original tile and fixtures, therefore the colors for the curtains hung there. They are in amazing shape and worth keeping.
The first guest room has just been totally updated (those curtains were in shreds) and the chosen blue and white embroidery looks beautiful against the pale yellow walls.
Note the Cambridge Valance over side panels, with the reserve on tiebacks. This is a really nice look for many rooms.
The updates were selected to keep the house from looking like it has not been redecorated since 1960. For instance, the owner opted for refrigerated drawers in the kitchen to keep the old cabinets and avoid a tight crowded space.
