A long-time Flemington couple recently decided to transition from their house into an adult over-55 community. They wanted an update to some of their loved furniture plus bring a fresh look to the new dwelling.
Our first phase was the furniture, especially two chairs they took with them to their new residence. Since the new dwelling was being completely renovated this was the ideal time to renovate the furniture, off-site in our workrooms.
Once the home renovation was completed, which included the kitchen, master bath, and other rooms, it was time for phase two, some new window treatments.
As you might imagine with any couple going down the retirement path, they were trying to keep the costs at a reasonable level. We can certainly help. This is the ideal situation for window treatments from our Made to Measure (MTM) program.
For example, in the kitchen we selected and ordered fabric from one of our favorite fabric houses and sent it to our workroom. In the master bathroom we selected and ordered fabric from a MTM vendor, and living room fabric was available from same MTM vendor making this approach very cost effective. Blending custom with made to measure reduced the total investment.
Naturally she asked about the timeline; after all, there is a lot of buying here and sending there. Our deposit was received in July, some valances installed in October and living room completed before Thanksgiving (Their 6 week trip to home in Florida did not help) but we were both understanding of time lines.
